About Dr. Sameer Bhate

Dr Sameer Bhate is the Head Department of Adult Cardiac Surgery. He has been a proficient and dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgeon with more than 20 years of Experience in treating advanced Cardiac Conditions and has performed more than 4000 Cardiac Surgeries. His keen interest in research reinforced him to have publications in various peer-reviewed Medical journals and has presented various papers in MedicalConferences and workshops. He has presented papers at various forums of the IACTS

Awards & Recognition

In 2006, Dr. Bhate received the Best Paper Award at the Indian Academy of Neurology conference for his paper titled “Sleep-related disorders in Idiopathic and young onset Parkinson’s disease.”In 2011, Dr. Bhate was selected for the Indo US Science and Technology Forum Fellowship. He pursued a fellowship in Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders at NINDS/NIH, Bethesda, and THE USA under Mark Hallett. In 2017, Dr. Bhate’s video titled “Pramipexole induced dystonia in Parkinson’s disease” received the Best Video award at the Movement Disorder Society of India conference
