After studying Medicine at Ege (Aegean) University Faculty of Medicine, Professor Ercan decided to pursue a career in Cardiology. He also attended several specialized cardiology training courses in Germany, Australia and the U.S.A.
He has been Senior Invasive Cardiologist since 2011 at Izmir Economy University Hospital (formerly known as Medicalpoint) in Izmir, Turkey.
Dr. Ercan has authored more than 200 articles that are published in peer-review journals. His expertise focuses on “cardiovascular immunology”. He is editorial member of five different international SCI-indexed cardiology journals.
Dr. Ercan was certified for transcutaneous aortic valve replacement, mitra-clip, cryoablation, carotid stent implantation and percutaneous abdominal aortic greft implantation.
His scientific publications were cited by 1978 articles in total.
