Prof (Dr.) Subash Gupta is a world-renowned expert in Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary and Liver Transplant Surgery. He completed his specialization in Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Surgery under the tutelage of renowned surgeon Prof. Samiran Nundy after graduating from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). He spent six years as an HPB oncology surgeon at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and St. James's University Hospital in Leeds (UK). Dr. Subhash has performed over 300 Whipple's procedures and over 3000 liver surgeries during his extensive medical career. He is currently the Chairman of the Max Centre for Liver and Biliary Surgery, where over 200 transplants and an equal number of complex HPB cases are performed each year.

The Institute of Postgraduate Education and Medical Research, Kolkata, has also honored him with the position of Professor of Liver Transplantation.
Delhi Medical Association awarded him with a Gold Medal in 2005. The Rotary Association of India has honored him for excellence in clinical medicine in 2012.
In 2012, the Delhi Medical Association honored him with the award of Vishist Chikitsh Rattan (Distinguished Clinician) on Doctor’s Day.
In 2014, he & has team were one of the finalists for the category “Surgical team of the year” for BMJ India awards.

In 2016, the Uttar Pradesh government has awarded him the prestigious “YASH BHARTI” award.
